What is it?
When customers make purchases from your website they are sent emails along the way such as order confirmations. Because of the way email spam filters work, these emails have to come from an authenticated email address. By default we send all emails from a Webfactory address. The user in most cases will not see this address and instead will see your company name, sometimes however they will see our address. With this upgrade we will make the necessary changes to allow emails to come from the correct domain name, matching your website.
Why select this upgrade?
Although this address is not always transparent to the receiver, in some cases they will see it and potentially question the fact that the email has come from an address they were not expecting. Having a custom send email address will avoid this issue.
What happens next?
After ordering, a task will be passed to our team to set up and authenticate a sending address that matches your website’s domain. Once configured, website emails such as order confirmations will be sent using the new address.
This is a monthly service that renews until cancelled. It provides a sending address for automated website emails, not a new mailbox; domain authentication may require DNS access.
